Principals and supervisors play a very important role in improving the quality of schools, one of which is by making programs in the academic and non-academic fields as well as improving school facilities and infrastructure. Principal's plan Organizing, implementing, leading and controlling the school and Utilizing all school resources to achieve school quality improvement. The principal affects the ability of teachers to improve the quality of learning so that school goals can be achieved optimally. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The subject of this research He is the principal, vice principal, teacher, and chairman of the School and Student Committee. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation studies. Test the validity of the data using triangulation of sources and methods. Data analysis used qualitative analysis, namely collecting, reducing, presenting, and drawing conclusions.
Principal as manager Empowering teachers, staff, students and school committees collaboratively, providing opportunities for teachers and education personnel to improve their profession and encouragement. Involve all school members in supporting school programs. as a supervisor Manager of SMP Kawung 2 Surabaya has carried out academic supervision, made improvements to the teaching and learning process, took class notes, and held face-to-face meetings with teachers to improve the teaching profession, save time and serve teachers In the teaching and learning process to solve problems, provide support and atmosphere Improve and improve the quality of the teaching and learning process and assess learning outcomes comprehensively.
